Filmmakers love getting stock transfers from donors and investors.  There are several benefits for donors/investors. When they give you stock, they do not have to pay tax on the profit. In fact, they get a tax write off for the full amount of the sale. And you get the benefits of the money to make your film.

The instructions to your donor/investor are easy. You ask them to contact Wells Traders at 1 800 872-3377.  They tell Wells Fargo traders they want to transfer a stock to From the Heart Production account number 5679-6411.  Wells gives them the information they need to do the trade.

Your donor/investor needs to let you know the date and the name and number of shares of stock transferred and you send this info to: Shirley@fromtheheartproductions.com And Carole@fromtheheartproductions.com

This way they know that a trade has been initiated.

They will look at the stock account and e-mail you immediately upon receipt.  Your job is to let them know when you want to sell. The stock market moves up and down daily, it is your decision which day you want the stocks sold. You need to e-mail Carole and Shirley both to advise them to sell.  If you want, you can call Carole Dean on 805 984 0098 and tell her when you want the stock sold.

We put your stock on the market at the time and date you want. It will take about four days for the stock to be sold and the income returned to Wells Trade account. At that time, we’ll let you know the amount received and we will plan to get your payment sent in under 10 days.
