Dave Simpson won our grant for his film “Halstead Street” which has Studs Turkel narrating. This film played on PBS to excellent reviews. David talks about winning the Mac Arthur grant and other ways he raised funds for “Halstead Street” and another film he made. The DVD contains a clip of David’s work so you can see the promo tape he used to fund his film.
